Front Fender Replacement - Right



Front Fender Replacement - Right Side

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, if equipped. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .




2. Lift up the right outboard cowl vent grille trim piece in order to release the clips to the right outboard cowl vent grille trim piece.
3. Remove the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .
4. Remove the right hood spring assembly. Refer to Hood Link Replacement .




5. Remove the fender-to-cowl support brace, if equipped.




6. Remove the right side battery tray, if equipped. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
7. Remove the wheelhouse panel bracket, if equipped.
8. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
9. Remove the air filter housing. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
10. Remove the air intake pipe. Refer to Air Intake Pipe Replacement .
11. Remove the coolant surge tank. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement .




12. Remove the push-in retainers (2) in order to detach the wheelhouse panel (1) from the fender (3).




13. Remove the fender-to-upper cowl bracket bolt.
14. Open the door.




15. Remove the fender-to-door hinge bolts.




16. Release the right front grille clip from the fender.




17. Remove the fender-to-radiator support bolts.




18. Remove the rear lower fender bolt.
19. Remove the right fender from the vehicle.



Installation Procedure

1. Position the fender to vehicle.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

2. Install the rear lower fender bolt.

Tighten the rear lower fender bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





3. Install the fender-to-radiator support bolts.

Tighten the radiator support bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





4. Fasten the right front grille clip to the fender.




5. Install the fender-to-door hinge bolts.

Tighten the door hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





6. Install the fender-to-upper cowl bracket bolt.

Tighten the upper cowl bracket bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).





7. Install the push-in retainers (2) in order to attach the wheelhouse panel (1) to the fender (3).




8. Install the wheelhouse panel bracket, if equipped.

* Tighten the wheelhouse panel bracket nuts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
* Tighten the wheelhouse panel bracket bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).


9. Install the right side battery tray, if equipped. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement .
10. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
11. Install the coolant surge tank. Refer to Surge Tank Replacement .
12. Install the air filter housing. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
13. Install the air intake pipe. Refer to Air Intake Pipe Replacement .




14. Install the right fender-to-cowl support brace, if equipped.

Tighten the cowl support brace bolts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

15. Install the right hood spring assembly. Refer to Hood Link Replacement .
16. Install the hood. Refer to Hood Replacement .




17. Install the right outboard cowl vent grille trim piece.
18. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Auxiliary Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
