A Symptoms - Power Seats
SYMPTOMS - POWER SEATS
IMPORTANT: The following steps must be completed before using the symptom tables.
1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle before using the symptom tables in order to verify that all of following are true:
- There are no DTCs set.
- The control modules can communicate via the serial data link. Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
2. Refer to the following system descriptions in order to familiarize yourself with the system functions:
- Memory Seats Description and Operation
- Power Seats System Description and Operation
Visual/Physical Inspection
- Inspect for aftermarket devices which could affect the operation of the power seat.
- Inspect the easily accessible or visible system components for obvious damage or conditions which could cause the symptom.
Intermittent
Faulty electrical connections or wiring may be the cause of intermittent conditions. Refer to Testing for Intermittent Conditions and Poor Connections. Component Tests and General Diagnostics

- Lumbar Support Inoperative (w/o Memory)
- Lumbar Support Inoperative (with Memory)
- Memory Seat Feature Inoperative
- Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward (w/o Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward (with Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Recline (w/o Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Recline (with Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Tilt Forward (w/o Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Tilt Forward (with Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Tilt Rearward (w/o Memory)
- Power Seat Does Not Tilt Rearward (with Memory )
- Power Seat Inoperative (w/o Memory)
- Power Seat Inoperative (with Memory)
