Rear Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the power window switch.
2. Remove the trim panel.
3. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip.
4. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip.
5. Remove the upper sealing strip.
6. Remove the water deflector.
7. Remove the speaker.
8. Remove the window.
9. Remove the stationary window and run channel assembly.
10. Remove the window regulator.
11. Remove the side door SIR sensor.
12. Remove the door latch assembly.
13. Remove the outside door handle.
14. Remove the bolts (1, 3) that retain the door to the hinge plates.
15. With the aid of an assistant, remove the door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With the aid of an assistant, install the door to the vehicle.
2. Apply LOCTITE(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382, or Canadian P/N 10953489, or equivalent to the fastener prior to installation.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the bolts (1, 3) that retain the door to the hinge plates.

Tighten the bolts 8 N.m (71 lb in).

4. Install the outside door handle.
5. Install the door latch assembly.
6. Install the side door SIR sensor.
7. Install the window regulator.
8. Install the stationary window and run channel assembly.
9. Install the window.
10. Install the speaker.
11. Install the water deflector.
12. Install the upper sealing strip.
13. Install the outer window belt sealing strip.
14. Install the inner window belt sealing strip.
15. Install the door trim panel.
16. Install the power window switch.
