Rear Side Access Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the rear side access door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
2. Remove the rear side access door inside handle. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the rear side access door stationary window. Refer to Body Side Window Replacement (Body Side Window Replacement) .
4. Remove the rear side access door upper latch. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Latch Replacement - Upper (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the rear side access door lower latch. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Latch Replacement - Lower (Service and Repair) .
6. Remove the rear side access door latch control assembly. Refer to Latch Control Assembly Replacement Rear Side Access Door (Service and Repair) .
7. Remove the rear side access door weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement Rear Side Access Door (Service and Repair) .
8. Remove the rear side access door auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
9. Remove the rear side access door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement Rear Side Access (Service and Repair) .
10. Support the rear side access door.




11. Remove the bolts retaining the rear side access door hinge to the door.
12. With an assistant, remove the rear side access door from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, position the rear side access door to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Install the bolts retaining the rear side access door hinge to the door.

Tighten the rear side access door hinge bolts to 25 N.m (18.4 lb ft).

3. Install the rear side access door check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement Rear Side Access (Service and Repair) .
4. Install the rear side access door auxiliary weatherstrip. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Auxiliary Weatherstrip Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Install the rear side access door weatherstrip. Refer to Weatherstrip Replacement Rear Side Access Door (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the rear side access door latch control assembly. Refer to Latch Control Assembly Replacement Rear Side Access Door (Service and Repair) .
7. Install the rear side access door lower latch. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Latch Replacement - Lower (Service and Repair) .
8. Install the rear side access door upper latch. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Latch Replacement - Upper (Service and Repair) .
9. Install the rear side access door stationary window. Refer to Body Side Window Replacement (Body Side Window Replacement) .
10. Install the rear side access door inside handle. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair) .
11. Install the rear side access door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair) .
12. Check the rear side access door for proper operation and alignment. Refer to Rear Door Adjustment (Adjustments) .
