Discharge Hose Replacement
Discharge Hose Replacement (LLV - 2.9L, LLR - 3.7L)
Tools Required
J 39400-A Halogen Leak Detector
Removal Procedure
1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non HP2) (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non HP2)) .
2. Remove the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the discharge hose mounting bolt (8) from the A/C compressor.
4. Remove the discharge hose (4) from the A/C compressor.
5. Remove the discharge hose bolt from the condenser.
6. Remove the discharge hose from the condenser.
7. Remove the discharge hose from the vehicle.
8. Discard all of the used sealing washers. Cap the system openings.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the discharge hose to the condenser using new sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement (Sealing Washer Replacement) .
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .
2. Install the discharge hose bolt to the condenser.
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
3. Install the discharge hose (4) to the A/C compressor using new sealing washers. Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement (Sealing Washer Replacement) .
4. Install the discharge hose mounting bolt (8) to the A/C compressor.
Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).
5. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (Service and Repair) .
6. Evacuate and recharge the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non HP2) (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Non HP2)) .
7. Leak test the fittings of the component using the J 39400-A.
