Rear Bumper Replacement


Removal Procedure

1.Disconnect the license plate lamp harness.

2.Remove the step pads, if necessary.

3.Disconnect the trailering harness, if necessary.

4.Remove the bumper bracket to frame bolts.





5.Remove the bumper.

6.Remove the bracket to bumper bolts.

Installation Procedure





1.Hand start all the bolts.

Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .

2.Install the bumper bracket to bumper bolts, non-hitch option only.

Tighten
-Tighten the bracket to top bumper bolts to 40 N �m (30 lb ft).

-Tighten the bracket to bottom bumper bolts to 100 N �m (74 lb ft).

3.Install the bumper.

Tighten
-Tighten the bumper to frame lower bolts to 100 N �m (74 lb ft).

-Tighten the bumper to frame cross bolts to 160 N �m (118 lb ft).

4.Install the bumper shell to reinforcement.

TightenTighten the bumper to frame lower bolts to 40 N �m (30 lb ft).

5.Install the corner braces to bracket and shell.

TightenTighten the bumper to frame lower bolts to 15 N �m (11 lb ft).
