Pickup Box Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Disconnect the tail/turn signal lamp wiring connectors at the rear of the vehicle.
2. Remove the tail lamp assembly. Refer toTail Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair) .
3. Open the fuel filler door.




4. Remove the fuel filler neck. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement (Service and Repair) .
5. Remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .




6. Remove the pickup box fasteners (1) from the frame rails.
7. With the an assistant remove the box from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Align the pickup box on the frame rails.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Loosely install the pickup box fasteners (1) to the frame rails.

Tighten the retaining bolts to the frame rail to 85 N.m (63 lb ft).

3. Install the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement (Service and Repair) .




4. Fasten the screws and the push-pin around the fuel filler neck.
5. Close the fuel filler door.
6. Install the tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Service and Repair) .
7. Connect the tail lamp wiring connectors at the rear of the vehicle.
