Water Outlet Tube Replacement (LU3) (4.3L)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
2. Remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (Non-HP2) (Service and Repair) .
3. Remove the turbocharger coolant bypass valve. Refer to Turbocharger Coolant Bypass Valve Replacement .
4. Remove the water outlet bolts.
5. Remove the water outlet.
6. Remove and discard the gasket.



Installation Procedure





1. Install a NEW gasket to the water outlet.
2. Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine coolant.
3. Install the water outlet.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice .

4. Install the water outlet bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 21 N.m (15 lb ft).

5. Install the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (Non-HP2) (Service and Repair) .
6. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Resonator Replacement .
