Endgate Adjustment
Adjustment Procedure
1. With the endgate closed, determine the amount of adjustment will be needed.
2. If adjustment is necessary, remove the endgate. Refer to Endgate Replacement (Pickup Box).
3. Mark the position of the hinges with a grease pencil.
Important: Use a screwdriver to move the adjustment hinge.
4. Loosen the endgate bolts and adjust the endgate hinges by moving the hinges in the following directions.
* Upward or downward
* Inward or outward
5. Reinstall the endgate and determine if any further adjustments are needed.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.
6. When the proper adjustments are set, tighten the hinge bolts.
Tighten the hinge bolts to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
