IMS Range
- This parameter displays the vehicle direction selected as detected by the transmission internal mode switch (IMS). The IMS contains two discrete shift lever-actuated switch patterns. The IMS range switch pattern is monitored by the transmission control module (TCM) and is utilized to determine gear range as selected by the shift lever. The IMS direction switch pattern is monitored by the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM) and is utilized to determine vehicle direction and the Park/Neutral start safety condition as selected by the shift lever. The PRNDL Direction Range parameter decodes the IMS direction switch inputs and displays PARK, REVERSE, NEUTRAL, DRIVE, TRANSITION and INVALID.
Hybrid Trans. Mode Commanded
- This parameter displays the commanded hybrid mode as determined by the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM). The HPCM commands the following modes: Park/Neutral, EV1, EV2 and Gear 1/2/3/4.
Hybrid Trans. Mode Actual
- This parameter displays the actual hybrid mode as detected by the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM). The HPCM detects the following modes: Park/Neutral, EV1, EV2, Gear 1/2/3/4 and Invalid.
Motor 1 Speed Actual
- This parameter displays the actual rotations per minute (rpm) of Motor 1 as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects speed in a range from -32768 to +32767 rpm. A positive number indicates the motor is rotating in a clockwise manner.
Motor 2 Speed Actual
- This parameter displays the actual rotations per minute (rpm) of Motor 2 as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects speed in a range from -32768 to +32767 rpm. A positive number indicates the motor is rotating in a clockwise manner.
Aux. Trans. Fluid Pump Actual
- This parameter displays the actual rotations per minute (rpm) of the auxiliary transmission fluid pump (ATFP) as determined by the hybrid powertrain control module (HPCM). The HPCM will command the ATFP control module to operate the auxiliary pump at a specified rpm. 100 percent is displayed when the ATFP control module determines the pump is operating at maximum speed.
Motor Control Module 1 Data
Motor 1 Isolation Voltage
- This parameter displays the voltage of the Isolation measurement circuit as detected by the motor control module (MCM). With no loss of isolation present, this parameter should be at or near the hybrid battery high voltage value.
Phase U Inverter Temp.
- This parameter displays the temperature of the Motor 1 phase U circuit temperature sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects motor temperature in a range from -40°C to +215°C (-40°F to +419°F).
Phase V Inverter Temp.
- This parameter displays the temperature of the Motor 1 phase V circuit temperature sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects motor temperature in a range from -40°C to +215°C (-40°F to +419°F).
Phase W Inverter Temp.
- This parameter displays the temperature of the Motor 1 phase W circuit temperature sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects motor temperature in a range from -40°C to +215°C (-40°F to +419°F).
Phase U Current Offset
- This parameter displays the learned offset value of the Motor 1 phase U circuit current sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). When commanded motor current is zero, the MCM will relearn any phase current sensor that does not indicate 0 amps. The previous amount of error that was relearned is called the Offset. The MCM detects current offset in a range from -50 A to +50 A.
Phase V Current Offset
- This parameter displays the learned offset value of the Motor 1 phase V circuit current sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). When commanded motor current is zero, the MCM will relearn any phase current sensor that does not indicate 0 amps. The previous amount of error that was relearned is called the Offset. The MCM detects current offset in a range from -50 A to +50 A.

- This parameter displays the commanded current of Motor 1 as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 1 Phase U Current
- This parameter displays the actual current of the Motor 1 phase U circuit as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 1 Phase V Current
- This parameter displays the actual current of the Motor 1 phase V circuit as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 1 Phase W Current
- This parameter displays the actual current of the Motor 1 phase W circuit as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 1 Temperature Sensor
- This parameter displays the voltage of the Motor 1 temperature sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects motor temperature sensor voltage in a range from 0 to 5.00 V.
Motor 1 Torque Commanded
- This parameter displays the commanded torque of Motor 1 as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects torque in a range from -512 to +508 N.m.
Motor 1 Torque Actual
- This parameter displays the actual torque of Motor 1 as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects torque in a range from -512 to +508 N.m.
Motor 1 Speed Actual
- This parameter displays the actual rotations per minute (rpm) of Motor 1 as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects speed in a range from -32768 to +32767 rpm. A positive number indicates the motor is rotating in a clockwise manner.
Motor 1 Resolver Angle
- This parameter displays the physical rotation of Motor 1 as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The drive motor generator position sensor is monitored by the MCM. The MCM monitors the angular position, speed and direction of the drive motor generator based upon the signals of the resolver-type position sensor. The MCM detects motor location and rotation in a range from 0 to 359°.
Motor 1 Resolver Offset
- This parameter displays the learned offset of the Motor 1 position sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The drive motor generator position sensor is monitored by the MCM. The MCM monitors the angular position, speed and direction of the drive motor generator based upon the signals of the resolver-type position sensor. When the ignition is turned OFF, the MCM commands a very slight and precise movement of the motor. From this slight movement, the MCM determines any error that exists in the position sensor. The MCM detects resolver offset in a range from -32 to 31.75°.
Motor Control Module 2 Data
Motor 2 Isolation Voltage

Motor 2 Phase V Current
- This parameter displays the actual current of the Motor 2 phase V circuit as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 2 Phase W Current
- This parameter displays the actual current of the Motor 2 phase W circuit as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects current in a range from -512 to +508 A.
Motor 2 Temperature Sensor
- This parameter displays the voltage of the Motor 2 temperature sensor as detected by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects motor temperature sensor voltage in a range from 0 to 5.00 V.
Motor 2 Torque Commanded
- This parameter displays the commanded torque of Motor 2 as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects torque in a range from -512 to +508 N.m.

- This parameter displays the actual torque of Motor 2 as determined by the motor control module (MCM). The MCM detects torque in a range from -512 to +508 N.m.
