Hood Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the front hood seal. Refer to Hood Front Seal Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Using a grease pencil or other suitable marking device, mark the position of the hood to the hinges.
3. With the aid of an assistant, remove the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hood hinges.
4. With the aid of an assistant, remove the hood from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. With the aid of an assistant, position the hood to the vehicle.
2. Partially install the 4 bolts that retain the hood to the hinges.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. With the aid of an assistant, position the hood to the hinges at the previously marked locations.
Tighten the bolts to 20 Nm (15 lb ft).
4. Inspect the hood for proper adjustment. Refer to Hood Adjustment (Adjustments).
5. Install the front hood seal. Refer to Hood Front Seal Replacement (Service and Repair).
