Headlamp Housing Panel Replacement (Envoy)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Envoy) (Service and Repair)Headlamp Replacement (TrailBlazer) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (Envoy) (Service and Repair)Grille Replacement (TrailBlazer) (Service and Repair).
3. Release the tabs that retain the ambient temperature sensor to the headlamp housing panel.
4. Note the wiring harness routing for installation.




5. Remove the bolts that retain the headlamp housing panel to the core support.
6. Remove the headlamp housing panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the headlamp housing panel to the vehicle.
2. Route the wiring harness through the headlamp housing panel as noted during removal.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the bolts that retain the headlamp housing panel to the core support.

Tighten the bolts to 8 Nm (71 lb in).

4. Install the ambient temperature sensor to the headlamp housing panel, ensure the retaining tabs are fully seated.
5. Install the grille. Refer to Grille Replacement (Envoy) (Service and Repair)Grille Replacement (TrailBlazer) (Service and Repair).
6. Install the headlamp assemblies. Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Envoy) (Service and Repair)Headlamp Replacement (TrailBlazer) (Service and Repair).
