Rear Side Door Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the power window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement).
2. Remove the trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
3. Remove the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
4. Remove the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
5. Remove the upper sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the inside release handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Remove the speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).
9. Remove the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
10. Remove the stationary window and run channel assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
11. Remove the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
12. Remove the door latch assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
13. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Remove the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Remove the wire harness from the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement (Service and Repair).




16. Remove the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.
17. Remove the door from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the door to the vehicle with an assistant.
2. Apply Loctite(R) Blue GM P/N 12345382, or Canadian P/N 10953489, or equivalent to the fastener prior to installation.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the bolts that retain the door to the hinge plates.

Tighten the bolts 8 Nm (71 lb in).

4. Install the wire harness to the door. Refer to Rear Side Door Wiring Harness Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the check link. Refer to Door Check Link Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Install the outside door handle. Refer to Rear Side Door Outside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
7. Install the door latch assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement (Service and Repair).
8. Install the window regulator. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Regulator Replacement (Service and Repair).
9. Install the stationary window and run channel assembly. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Channel Replacement).
10. Install the window. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Replacement (Service and Repair).
11. Install the speaker. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement (Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement).
12. Install the water deflector. Refer to Rear Side Door Water Deflector Replacement (Service and Repair).
13. Install the inside release handle. Refer to Door Inside Handle Replacement (Service and Repair).
14. Install the upper sealing strip. Refer to Rear Door Upper Sealing Strip Replacement (Service and Repair).
15. Install the outer window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Outer Sealing Strip Replacement).
16. Install the inner window belt sealing strip. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Inner Sealing Strip Replacement).
17. Install the door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Service and Repair).
18. Install the power window switch. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement (Rear Side Door Window Switch Replacement).
