Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement

* J 25034-C Power Steering Pump Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 7.0L) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (6.6L) (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement () for the 4.3L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) , or to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement) for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement () for the 6.6L engine.
3. Remove the power steering pump pulley using the J 25034-C .

Installation Procedure




1. Place the power steering pump pulley on the end of the power steering pump shaft.
2. Install the power steering pump pulley using J 25033-C .




3. Ensure that the power steering pump pulley is flush against the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
4. Install the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement () for the 4.3L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory (Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory) , or to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement (Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement) for the 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L engine, or to Drive Belt Replacement () for the 6.6L engine.
5. Install the upper fan shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 7.0L) (Service and Repair)Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (6.6L) (Service and Repair).
