Windshield Defroster Duct Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
2. Remove the I/P carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Service and Repair).




3. Remove the windshield defrost duct retaining screws at the heater case.
4. Remove the windshield defrost duct retaining nuts at the cowl.
5. Remove the windshield defrost duct (5) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the windshield defrost duct (5) to the vehicle.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

2. Install the windshield defrost duct retaining nuts to the cowl and tighten to4 Nm (35 lb in).
3. Install the windshield defrost duct retaining screws to the heater case and tighten to4 Nm (35 lb in).
4. Install the I/P carrier. Refer to Instrument Panel Carrier Replacement (Service and Repair).
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement (Service and Repair).
