Left or Right Tail Lamp Inoperative (Inspect/Repair Connector)

Models:
2008-2009 Chevrolet Tahoe Hybrid
2008-2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid

Condition

Some customers may comment that the left or right tail lamp is inoperative.

Cause

One or more pins in the tail lamp assembly wiring connector may be bent, resulting in loss of electrical contact.

Correction





Note
You must remove the tail lamp assembly to inspect or repair the connector. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement (Two-mode Hybrid) in SI if necessary.





Note
The location of the tail lamp assembly connector (1) can be identified above. The connector pin (2) in the picture shown bent is the STOP function, and is the pin that typically exhibits this condition.
