Front Drive Axle Clutch Fork Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the electric motor actuator. Refer to Electric Motor Actuator Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the left differential carrier assembly bushing and mounting bracket. Refer to Front Differential Carrier Bushing and Bracket Replacement ().




3. Remove the disconnect housing bolts.




4. Remove the disconnect housing.




5. Remove the clutch fork, clutch assembly, thrust washer, and gasket from the disconnect housing.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the clutch fork, clutch assembly, thrust washer, and gasket in the disconnect housing.




2. Install the disconnect housing.





Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the disconnect housing bolts and tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb ft).




4. Install the left differential carrier mounting bracket. Refer to Front Differential Carrier Bushing and Bracket Replacement ().




5. Install the electric motor actuator. Refer to Electric Motor Actuator Replacement (Service and Repair).
