Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement

* J-25033-C - Pulley Installer
* J-25034-C - Pulley Remover

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the engine coolant fan upper shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 7.0L) (Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement) Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (Diesel) (Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement).
2. Remove the drive belt from the power steering pump pulley only. Refer to the applicable procedure:

* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LU3 engine
* Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory () for the L20, LMF, or L96 engines
* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LGH engine
* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LMM engine




3. Use the J-25034-C - remover in order to remove the power steering pump pulley.

Installation Procedure




1. Position the power steering pump pulley on the end of the power steering pump shaft.
2. Use the J-25033-C - installer in order to install the power steering pump pulley.




3. Ensure that the power steering pump pulley (1) is flush against the power steering pump shaft (2), with an allowable variance of 0.25 mm (0.010 in).
4. Install the drive belt to the power steering pump pulley. Refer to the applicable procedure:

* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LU3 engine
* Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory () for the L20, LMF, or L96 engines
* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LGH engine
* Drive Belt Replacement (Service and Repair) for the LMM engine

5. Install the engine coolant fan upper shroud. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L, 7.0L) (Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement) Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement (Diesel) (Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud Replacement).
