Circuit Description

The infrared transmitter is internal to the DVD display and is grounded and powered by the DVD control module. When listening to the remote control, the remote sends an infrared signal to the infrared receiver. No external circuits are involved.

Circuit/System Verification

Note: Test or replace the remote batteries before performing Circuit/System Verification.

1. Verify there are no obstructions that may block the infra-red port located above the video display screen.
2. DVD playing, press multiple buttons on the remote control and verify the remote operatives properly at both monitors.

If remote fails to operate either DVD monitor, replace the remote.
If remote operates only one DVD monitor, replace the inoperative monitor.
