Lubricate body components. Lubricate all key lock cylinders, hood hinges, liftgate hinges, and steel fuel door hinge unless the components are plastic. Applying silicone grease on weatherstrips with a clean cloth will make them last longer, seal better, and not stick or squeak.

Parking Brake System
Check parking brake and automatic transmission park mechanism. Refer to Park Brake and P (Park) Mechanism Check. Park Brake and P (Park) Mechanism Check. Refer to Routine Service / Vehicle Checks.
Neutral Safety Switch
Check starter switch. Refer to Starter Switch Check. Starter Switch Check. Refer to Routine Service / Vehicle Checks.
Ignition Lock
Check ignition transmission lock. Refer to Ignition Transmission Lock Check. Ignition Transmission Lock Check. Refer to Routine Service / Vehicle Checks.
Inspect
Wiper Blade
Inspect wiper blades for wear, cracking, or contamination. Replace wiper blades that are worn or damaged. Visually inspect windshield wiper blades for wear, cracking, or contamination. Replace worn or damaged wiper blades.
Washer Fluid
Check windshield washer fluid level. Inspect windshield washer fluid level and add fluid as needed.
Steering and Suspension
Visually inspect steering, suspension, and chassis components for damaged, loose, or missing parts or signs of wear. Visually inspect front and rear suspension and steering system for damaged, loose, or missing parts or signs of wear. Inspect the power steering for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc. Visually check constant velocity joints, rubber boots, and axle seals for leaks. Visually inspect steering, suspension, and chassis components for damaged, loose, or missing parts or signs of wear. Visually inspect the front and rear suspension and steering system for damaged, loose, or missing parts or signs of wear. Inspect the power steering for proper hook-up, binding, leaks, cracks, chafing, etc. Visually check constant velocity joints, rubber boots, and axle seals for leaks.
Restraints and Safety Systems
Check restraint system components. Check that the safety belt reminder light, safety belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, and anchorages are all working properly. Look for any other loose or damaged safety belt system parts that might keep a safety belt system from doing its job. Torn or frayed safety belts may not protect you in a crash. They can rip apart under impact forces. If a belt is torn or frayed, get a new one right away. Check restraint system components. Now and then, check that the safety belt reminder light, safety belts, buckles, latch plates, retractors, and anchorages are all working properly. Look for any other loose or damaged safety belt system parts that might keep a safety belt system from doing its job. Torn or frayed safety belts may not protect you in a crash. Oil Filter, Engine
Hood Shock / Support
Visually inspect gas strut for signs of wear, cracks, or other damage. Check the hold open ability of the strut.
Fuel Supply Line
Inspect fuel system for damage or leaks.
Fuel Delivery and Air Induction
Visually inspect fuel system for damage or leaks.
Fluids
All fluids visual leak inspect (or every 12 months whicherer occurs first). A leak in any system must be repaired and the fluid level checked. Visually check vehicle for fluid leaks.
Exhaust System
Inspect exhaust system and nearby heat shields for loose or damaged components. Visually inspect exhaust system and nearby heat shields for loose or damaged parts.
Engine Oil
Check engine oil level and oil life percentage. If needed, change engine oil and filter, and reset oil life system.
Coolant
Inspect engine cooling system. Visual inspection of hoses, pipes, fittings, and clamps. Replace as needed.
Brakes and Traction Control
Inspect Brake System.
Air Filter Element
Inspect engine air cleaner filter. Inspect or replace the air cleaner/filter at the scheduled maintenance intervals. If driving in dusty/dirty conditions, inspect the filter, at each engine oil change. Inspect engine air cleaner filter. To inspect the engine air cleaner/filter, remove the filter from the vehicle and lightly shake the filter to release loose dust and dirt. If the filter remains covered with dirt, a new filter is required.
Accelerator Pedal
Check accelerator pedal for damage, high effort, or binding. Replace if needed.
Rotate
Tires
