Rear Door Replacement - Left Side

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the left side rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (E24) .
2. Remove the rear door extension. Refer to Rear Door Outer Extension Panel Replacement .
3. Remove the left side rear door latches. Refer to Rear Door Latch Replacement - Lower and Rear Door Latch Replacement - Upper .
4. Remove the left side rear door latch handle. Refer to Rear Door Latch Replacement - Lower .
5. Remove the left side rear door wiring harness from the door. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement Door Wiring Harness Replacement.
6. Remove the left side rear door hinged rear window or stationary window, if needed. Refer to Hinged Rear Window Replacement or Rear Window Replacement .
7. Remove the left side rear door weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to Front or Rear Side Door Lower Weatherstrip Replacement Front or Rear Side Door Lower Weatherstrip Replacement.
8. Remove the left side rear door rear door speaker, if equipped. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement .
9. Remove the bolts that retain the left side rear door upper and the lower door hinges to the body.
10. Remove the left side rear door from the vehicle with an assistant.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the left side rear door to the vehicle with an assistance.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution .

2. Install the bolts in order to retain the left side rear door upper and the lower door hinges to the body and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
3. Install the left side rear door rear door speaker, if equipped. Refer to Radio Rear Side Door Speaker Replacement .
4. Install the left side rear door weatherstrips, if needed. Refer to Front or Rear Side Door Lower Weatherstrip Replacement Front or Rear Side Door Lower Weatherstrip Replacement.
5. Install the left side rear door hinged rear window or stationary window, if needed. Refer to Hinged Rear Window Replacement or Rear Window Replacement .
6. Install the left side rear door wiring harness to the door. Refer to Door Wiring Harness Replacement Door Wiring Harness Replacement.
7. Install the left side rear door latch handle. Refer to Rear Door Latch Replacement - Lower .
8. Install the left side rear door latches. Refer to Rear Door Latch Replacement - Lower and Rear Door Latch Replacement - Upper .
9. Install the rear door extension. Refer to Rear Door Outer Extension Panel Replacement .
10. Install the left side rear door trim panel. Refer to Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (E24) .
