Power Brake Booster Inlet Hose Replacement (6.6L)
Removal Procedure
1. Remove the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement Service and Repair
2. Place drain pans under the vehicle.
3. Remove as much power steering fluid from the power steering fluid reservoir (1) as possible.
Caution: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Caution Service Precautions.
4. Disconnect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) from the hose clip (2).
5. Disconnect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) from the power steering pump (4).
6. Disconnect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) from the power brake booster.
7. Remove the power brake booster inlet (5) hose from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Position the power brake booster inlet hose (5) in the vehicle.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.
Note: Start both power brake booster inlet hose fittings by hand before finalizing torques.
2. Connect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) to the power brake booster.
3. Connect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) to the power steering pump (4).
4. Tighten the power brake booster inlet hose fittings to 33 Nm (24 lb ft).
5. Connect the power brake booster inlet hose (5) to the hose clip (2).
6. Clean any excess fluid from the vehicle.
7. Remove the drain pans.
8. Install the engine control module. Refer to Engine Control Module Replacement Service and Repair
9. Fill and bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding Service and Repair.
