Engine Coolant Thermostat Housing Installation





1. Install the thermostat bypass pipe O-ring seal (1).

2. Install the thermostat bypass pipe (2).





Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution Fastener Caution.

3. Install the thermostat housing studs (3) and tighten to 8 Nm (71 lb in).

4. Install the turbocharger coolant return hose (8).

5. Install the thermostat housing gaskets (2) and thermostat bypass pipe O-ring seal (6).

6. Install the thermostat housing (4).

7. Install the thermostat housing bolts (5) and nuts (1) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

8. Install the thermostat bypass pipe bolts (7) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).





9. Connect the engine coolant temperature sensor (1) and the turbocharger coolant feed hose (2).





10. Install the fuel feed manifold assembly (1).

11. Install the fuel feed manifold assembly bolt (2) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).





12. Install the oil fill tube O-ring seal (3).

13. Install the oil fill tube (1).

14. Install the oil fill tube bolts (2) and tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).





15. Install and connect the turbocharger vane position sensor (1).
