Transmission Hot - Idle Engine

Transmission Hot - Idle Engine

This message is displayed and a chime will sound when the TCM detects a transmission fluid temperature greater than 150°C (302°F). A key cycle long enough for the TCM to power down is required to reset the action taken after the transmission has cooled below 150°C (302°F). Prior to the transmission fluid temperature reaching 150°C (302°F), the system will execute the following actions in an attempt to cool the transmission fluid:

* Autostop is inhibited when the transmission fluid temperature is greater than 100°C (212°F).

* The coolant fans turn on when the transmission fluid temperature is greater than 125°C (257°F).
