Input Shaft
Disassemble
1. Separate input shaft and mainshaft assemblies.
2. Remove input shaft needle bearing, then the input shaft circlip.
3. Remove input shaft bearing using split plate Tool No. J22912-01 and a suitable press.
Inspection
1. Clean input shaft bearing using a clean, dry cloth. Bearing is permanently packed with lubricant and should not be soaked or cleaned with any solvents.
2. Check input shaft bearing for wear or damage and replace as necessary.
Assemble
1. Install input shaft bearing using bearing installation tool Nos. J37753 and J35664 and a suitable press.
2. Install input shaft circlip.
3. Install input shaft needle bearing, then the input shaft to mainshaft, if mainshaft does not require service.
