Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc: Description and Operation
CIRCUIT OPERATIONBattery voltage is applied at all times for the radio clock and memory circuitry through the tail dome Fuse. If this voltage source is interrupted for any reason, the clock and memory functions need to be reset.
With the ignition switch in "ACCY" or "ON," Battery voltage is applied through the cigar radio Fuse to the radio. On vehicles equipped with a cassette player, this power feed passes through an external noise suppressor before entering the radio. When the radio "ON/VOL" control is pressed to "ON," voltage is applied through the switch to power all electronic radio functions. The radio is permanently grounded at G200.
