Cranking Signal: Description and Operation
CRANK SIGNALDESCRIPTION
The Crank Signal is sent from the engine starter circuit to the Engine Control Module (ECM). When the ECM detects that the engine is cranking, it uses the crank signal as one of the signals to control the fuel injection timing and Idle Air Control (IAC) valve operation.
