Whenever the IGNITION SWITCH is in either the "ON" or "START" position, battery voltage is applied through the TURN BACK Fuse to the
BACKUP LAMP SWITCH (Manual Transmission), the PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH (3-Speed Automatic Transmission) or the TRANSMISSION RANGE SWITCH (4-Speed Automatic Transmission). When the manual selector is placed in "R," the switch closes and battery voltage is applied to the
Backup Lamps in the REAR COMBINATION LAMPS. Since the REAR COMBINATION LAMPS are permanently grounded at G300, the lamps will light.
