Throttle Position (TP) Sensor

The Throttle Position (TP) sensor supplies a throttle position voltage signal input to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). The PCM converts TP sensor signal into a throttle duty signal. This duty signal is relative to the rate at which the throttle plate is opening. The cruise control module uses this information to determine throttle opening angle.
