Fuel Pump Relay: Service and Repair

The fuel pump relay and the main relay are mounted on a bracket which is bolted onto the right hand side of the heater case.

Remove or Disconnect
1. Negative (-) battery cable.
2. Pull out instrument panel compartment while pushing its stopper from both left and right sides.
3. Two screws and relay mounting bracket from heater case.

IMPORTANT
- Refer to Engine Controls for proper relay identification.

4. Fuel pump relay and/or main relay from mounting bracket by releasing locking tab.
5. Fuel pump relay and/or main relay electrical connector(s) and remove relay(s) from vehicle.

Install or Connect
1. Fuel pump relay and/or main relay electrical connector(s).
2. Fuel pump relay and/or main relay to mounting bracket.
3. Relay mounting bracket to heater case; secure with two screws.
4. Close instrument panel compartment.
5. Negative (-) battery cable.
