Brake Light Switch: Adjustments

Stoplamp Switch Adjustment:

CLEARANCE ADJUSTMENT
This procedure is for adjusting clearance between end of stoplamp switch threads and brake pedal return cushion.

PROCEDURE
1. Insert stoplamp switch threads into mounting bracket and turn switch clockwise, secure with locknut. Do not tighten fully.
2. Pull brake pedal toward stoplamp switch.
3. Turn stoplamp switch either clockwise or counterclockwise until clearance is within 1.5 to 2.0 mm (0.06 to 0.08 inch) (Distance "A").
4. Tighten stoplamp switch locknut to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
