Power/Normal Switch

The Power/Normal switch is mounted on the center console, right side of the transmission shifter. It allows the driver to select two kinds of shifting patterns: "Power," which extends the engagement of each gear for improved acceleration performance; and "Normal," designed for normal operation by upshifting as early as possible, improving fuel economy. When the Power/Normal switch is set to Power (P) position, it signals the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to select the Power (P) shift schedule.
