Manual Gear Range Selection

1. With the vehicle stopped, set the Power/Normal switch to either Normal (N) or Power (P) position and place the manual selector in Second (2) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Transmission upshifts from 1st to 2nd gear.
2. Accelerate to 40 km/h (25 mph) and verify:
- Transmission does not upshift from 2nd to 3rd gear.
- Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) does not engage.
3. With the vehicle stopped, move the manual selector to Low (L) position (regardless of the Power/Normal switch position). Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Transmission does not upshift from 1st to 2nd gear.
- TCC does not engage.
4. With the vehicle stopped, place the manual selector in Reverse (R) position. Slowly accelerate vehicle and verify:
- Vehicle moves in a rearward direction.
