Condenser-to-Receiver/Dryer Pipe (Receiver/Dryer Inlet)
Remove or Disconnect
1. Discharge and recover refrigerant. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Charging the Refrigeration System.
2. Negative (-) battery cable.
3. Front grille and grille net.
4. Condenser-to-receiver/dryer (receiver/dryer inlet) pipe at receiver/dryer fitting (one bolt).
5. Pipe at condenser fitting in front of radiator (one bolt).
6. Pipe from radiator-mounted guide bracket and from vehicle.
Install or Connect
1. Install new O-rings to refrigerant pipe fittings. Coat new O-rings with clean refrigerant oil.
2. Pipe to vehicle; secure at radiator-mounted guide bracket.
3. Pipe at condenser fitting in front of the radiator (one pipe nut).
4. Condenser-to-receiver/dryer (receiver/dryer inlet) pipe at receiver/dryer fitting (one bolt).
Tighten
^ Receiver/dryer pipe fitting bolt to 35 N.m. (26 lb. ft.).
^ Condenser pipe nut to 35 N.m. (26 lb. ft.).
5. Front grille and grille net.
6. Negative (-) battery cable.
7. Evacuate and recharge air conditioning system. Refer to Discharging, Adding Oil, Evacuating and Charging the Refrigeration System.
8. Operate A/C system and check for refrigerant leaks. Refer to Refrigerant Leak Testing.
