Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Solenoid

The Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) solenoid is located on the valve body assembly and is used for applying the TCC. TCC lock-up may occur during 3rd and 4th gear when deemed necessary by the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

The PCM delays TCC engagement until engine coolant temperature fluid temperatures reaches 30° C (86° F).
