Neutral Position

When the transfer case gearshift control lever is placed in the "N" position, the reduction shift fork moves the reduction clutch sleeve to the neutral position between the input gear and the low output gear. This action disengages the input gear from the rear output shaft and interrupts the torque flow to the front or rear output shafts.
