Accessory Hood Air Deflector Cracks

PROBLEM

The accessory hood air deflector is cracked at the hole for the left and/or right side bracket.

CORRECTIVE ACTION

Install a new air deflector with the improved mounting hardware.

Any repair performed after warranty expiration may be eligible for goodwill consideration by the District Parts and Service Manager or your Zone Office. You must request consideration, and get a decision, before starting work.

REPAIR PROCEDURE

1. Remove the two mounting screws and the three clips. Remove and discard the deflector. Discard the screws and the clips.

2. Position the new air deflector on the hood. Install clips.





3. Install the two new 6 mm mounting screws, two nylon washers, and two collars. Tighten the screws securely.
