Security System - Remote Range

Security System
Remote Range

If you receive a complaint that the remote control on a '90 Accord security system doesn't have enough range, try a new battery in the remote. The battery may have enough power to light the LED on the remote, but not enough to work the transmitter. A healthy remote with a good battery should have a range of about 50 feet when you approach the car from the rear or the side. When you approach the car from the front, the range will be somewhat less because the signal must pass through the engine compartment to get to the receiver.
