Ignition Rotor: Description and Operation

Distributor Rotor and Cap:

PURPOSE
Contacts the carbon terminal in center of distributor cap.

OPERATION
As the rotor rotates it transfers high voltage from the coil carbon terminal on the distributor cap to the spark plug terminals in a pre determined sequence (firing order).
