Removal and Installation
Audio Unit Removal/InstallationSRS components are located in this area. Review the
SRS component locations, precautions and procedures in the SRS section before performing repairs or service.
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related pants.
1. Make sure you have the anti-theft code for the radio, then write down the frequencies for the radio's preset buttons.
2. Disconnect the negative cable from the battery.
3. Remove the center panel. Dashboard / Instrument Panel
4. Remove the bolts, disconnect the audio unit connectors (A) and the antenna lead (B), then remove the audio unit.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Make sure the audio unit connectors are plugged in properly, and the antenna lead is connected properly. Connector Replacement
- Enter the anti-theft code for the radio, then enter the customer's radio station presets.
