Standards and Service Limits

Alternator belt
Adjusta new belt to the new belt specification, run the engine for 5 minutes, then readjust it to the used belt specification.
Deflection with 98 N (10 kgf, 22 lbs.) applied midway between pulleys Without A/C
With A/T: See Compressor belt in A/T table
Used belt: 8.5 - 11.0 mm
New belt: 6.5 - 8.5 mm
