Charging System Indicator Stays on

1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and watch the charging system light.
Does the charging system indicator came on and stay on?

YES - Go to step 2.

2. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and watch the IMA system indicator.
Does the IMA indicator come on for the first two seconds, then go off?

YES - Go to step 3.
NO - Check the IMA system indicator circuit troubleshooting.

3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Turn the battery module switch OFF.
5. Remove the IPU lid.





6. Connect the DC-DC converter 8P connector terminal No.2 and body ground with a jumper wire.
7. Turn the ignition switch ON (II). Is the charging system indicator ON?

YES - Go to step 9.
NO - Go to step 8.

8. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
Is the charging system indicator bulb OK?

YES - Repair open in the wire between the DC-DC converter and the gauge assembly.
NO - Replace the charging system indicator bulb.

9. Check the No.4 ECU (ECM) (7.5 A) fuse.
Is the fuse OK?

YES - Go to step 10.

NO - Check for:
- A blown No.4 ECU (ECM) (7.5 A) fuse.
- A short or open in the wire between the No.4 ECU (ECM) (7.5 A) fuse and the DC-DC converter.

10. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).





11. Measure voltage between body ground and the DC-DC converter 8P connector terminal No.1.
Is there battery voltage?

YES - Repair the DC-DC converter.
NO - Repair open in the wire between the DC-DC converter and the No.4 ECU (ECM) (7.5 A) fuse.
