Dashboard Vent Removal/InstallationOuter Vent
NOTE:
- Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
- Driver's outer vent is shown: Passenger's outer vent is symmetrical.
1. Remove the dashboard/steering hanger beam.
2. Remove the steering hanger beam and the dashboard duct from the dashboard.
3. Remove the screws (A, B), then remove the outer vent (C).
4. Install the outer vent in the reverse order of removal.
Center Vent Assembly
NOTE: Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
1. Remove the dashboard/steering hanger beam.
2. Remove the steering hanger beam and the dashboard duct from the dashboard.
3. Remove the screws, then remove the driver's center vent assembly (A).
4. Install the center vent assembly in the reverse order of removal.
Center Vents
1. Wrap a flat-tip screwdriver with protective tape, and apply protective tape around the related parts to prevent damage. Carefully insert a flat-tip screwdriver next to the outside pivot, and pry the center vent (A) out. Take care not to scratch the dashboard and related parts.
2. If any bushing (B) dropped from each pivot of the center duct while removing the center vents, reinstall it onto the pivot.
3. Set the outside pivot portion of the center vent on the bushing first, then push the opposite side into place securely.
