DESCRIPTION:
Some Santa Fe sunroof wind deflectors may not remain in the upward position at highway speeds. This bulletin details how to modify the deflector springs to improve performance at highway speeds.
VEHICLES AFFECTED:
Model: SANTA FE (CM)
Affected vehicle production date range: March 1, 2007 to July 12, 2007
SERVICE PROCEDURE:
1. Open LH Front Door, insert key into ignition, and turn to on position and open sunroof.
WARNING:
Protect the scuff plate from damage before stepping on it to access the sunroof.
2. Disengage the deflector spring from the mount.
3. Bend spring towards the front of the vehicle as shown.
4. Re-engage the spring to the spring mount.
Repeat steps 4-6 on the opposite side of the sunroof wind deflector.
