Input Speed Sensor

INPUT SPEED SENSOR

REMOVAL
1. Drain the oil by removing the overflow plug and the O-ring using a torx wrench (T40), and the drain plug (A) and the gasket by using a hexagon wrench (17 mm).





2. Disconnect the oil cooler hoses from the tubes.
3. Remove the 2 bolts to remove the oil cooler tubes (A) and the O-rings.





4. Remove the transaxle side cover and the valve body assembly.

CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the valve body assembly.

5. Remove the input speed sensor (A).





INSPECTION

CAUTION:
- Do not damage the input speed sensor (MN).
- Do not damage the terminals.


1. Connecting terminal 2 to a battery positive terminal, connect the battery negative terminal to terminal 1 through resistance of 100 Ohms and a meter.
2. Measure currency value when shaking metal shards (magnetic material) back and forth with a top of input speed sensor (NIN) (less than 5 mm).
Specification [mA]: 12-16 (HIGH), 4-8 (LOW)

INSTALLATION
1. Install the input speed sensor (A).





2. Install the transaxle side cover and the valve body assembly.

CAUTION: Be careful not to drop the valve body assembly.

3. Coat the new O-rings with ATF, and install it to the oil cooler tubes (A). Install the oil cooler tubes with the 2 bolts.





4. Connect the oil cooler hoses from the tubes.
5. Install the drain plug (A) and the gasket by using a hexagon wrench (17 mm).





6. Refill the ATF.
