Component Inspection

1. Check latch switch
1. Ignition "OFF" & engine "OFF"
2. Disconnect latch switch
3. Connect (+) terminal of battery to terminal of latch #1 switch and (-) terminal to terminal of latch #2 switch
4. Connect (+) terminal of battery to terminal of latch #2 switch and (-) terminal to terminal of latch #1 switch.
A. Specification :Approx. ON -> 500 Ohms, OFF -> 6.2 kOhms ± 5%




5. Dose the latch motor work properly ?
YES
1) Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "PTG module inspection" procedure.
NO
1) Substitute with a known-good latch switch and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace latch switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
