ESC (MGH-40) (~2009.12.20) - C1503 ESC switch error - Monitor Scantool Data

Monitor Scantool Data

1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
3. Press the ESC SWITCH.
4. Monitor the "ESC SWITCH" parameter on the scantool.
A. Specification : It is changed to ON/OFF.

5. Whenever the switch is pushed up/down, is the ESC off switch's scantool data changed ON/OFF?
YES
1) Fault is intermittent caused by poor connection in ESC switch harness and/or HECU's connector or was repaired and HECU memory was not cleared.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
NO
1) Go to "Terminal and Connector Inspection" procedure.
