C1260 Steering Angle Sensor Circuit-Signal - Monitor Scantool data

Monitor Scantool Data

1. Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC)
2. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
3. Turn the steering wheel to the left or right.
4. Monitor the "Steering Angle Sensor" parameters on the Scantool.

Normal Data
5. Whenever steering wheel is turned, is the steering sensor's scantool data changed?
YES
(1) Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
(2) Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON".
(3) Keep the steering wheel in center position.
(4) Monitor the "STEERING ANGLE SNSR" parameters on the Scantool.

Specification : Approx. 0 DEG

(5) Is parameter displayed within specifications?





NO
> Go to "Terminal and Connector Inspection" procedure.
6. Perform steering angle sensor calibration.
(1) Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF".
(2) Connect scantool to Data Link Connector (DLC).
(3) Go in Elec. Power Steering system.
(4) Perform ASP calibration. (figure 2).
(5) Go to "Component Inspection" Procedure.
