P2009 Intake Manifold Runner Control Circuit Low (Bank 1) - W/Harness Inspection

Terminal and Connector Inspection

1. Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
2. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
3. Has a problem been found?






Control Circuit Inspection

Check open in harness
1. IG "OFF" and disconnect VCMA connector and ECM connector.
2. Measure resistance between VCMA commend signal terminal of VCMA harness connector and VCMA commend signal terminal of ECM harness connector.

Specification : Approx. below 1 Ohms.








3. Is the measured resistance within specification?





Check short to ground in harness
1. IG "OFF".
2. Disconnect VCMA connector and ECM connector.
3. Measure resistance between VCMA feedback signal terminal of VCMA harness connector and chassis ground. (Measurement "A")
4. Measure resistance between VCMA feedback signal and VCMA ground terminals of VCMA harness connector. (Measurement "B")

Specification : Infinite
















5. Is the measured resistance within specification?
