Subject
TURN SIGNAL NOT CANCELING

DESCRIPTION:

This bulletin provides procedures on how to to inspect and/or repair vehicles which may experience turn signals not canceling due to a misaligned multifunction switch.

VEHICLES AFFECTED:

Model: 2011 MY Santa Fe

SERVICE/INSPECTION PROCEDURE:

1. Check the alignment of the multifunction switch to the steering column shroud. If the switch is mis-aligned (shown in the photo), remove steering column shroud to gain access to the multifunction switch.

2. Once the steering column shroud has been removed, completely disconnect the multifunction switch from steering column by releasing (pressing) the retaining tab (A) and sliding the switch towards the left.

3. Re-install the multifunction switch. Ensure that guide rails (B) are in the correct position and that the retaining tab snaps into the correct position at the center hole location (C). The guide rails are on the top and bottom and the engagement tab used to hold switch in place is located in the center.

4. Re-install the steering column shaft shroud and test for proper operation. Replace the multifunction switch under normal warranty if the turn signals still do not cancel.

NOTE:
Take caution not to misalign the multifunction switch when reinstalling the steering column shroud.

Normal warranty applies.
